Joint Review Meeting Of Human Capital Development (HCD) Plan Of Action

A Joint review meeting of the first draft of the Human Capital Development (HCD) Plan of Action was held at the Conference hall of The Ministry of Local Government, Community Development & Chieftaincy Affairs’ on February 15, 2024.
The meeting was envisioned with the purpose of highlighting challenges identified; assessment of on-going interventions; identification of key interventions and initiatives; and selection of interventions and initiatives considering ease of implementation and financing constraints. It was also expected to have an outcome of:
– Stakeholder involvement in framing state HCD Agenda
– Co-creation and co- development of state HCD Agenda
– Ownership and buy in of stake holders.
The Joint Review meeting had in attendance;
– Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth
Rt. Hon Shuai’bu Sani
– The Chairperson, House Commitee  on Youth & Sports Development
Hon. Mohammed Isimbabi,
Chairperson, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development Hon. Hajara Danyaro,

– Hon. Commissioner on Women Affairs & Social Development, Haj. Aisha Rufa’I,

– The Head of Civil Service, Barr. Abigail Waya,
– Permanent Secretaries, Members of the Expanded Technical Working Group (EWTG), LGA HCD Desk Officers, Representative of the Traditional Council, CSOs & NGOs and Religious Bodies.
During the Course of the meeting, The Director General/Focal Person of Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Agency (NSHCDA), Habiba Balarabe Suleiman f.hcd, delivered a presentation titled Introduction to Human Capital Development (HCD 101) to the attendees, and they also reviewed the first draft of the HCD Action Plan. After which, questions and answers were shared during an interactive session.
