Human capital development is a game changer identified in Nasarawa State, improving the capacities to develop communities and livelihoods. The HCD office attracted OXFAM Nigeria, a renowned international Charitable Organization through one of their visit to Lagos on the 5th February, 2020 at the Lagos State Empowerment Trust Fund Summit (LSETFS). The visit paved the way for the program “Employability and Entrepreneurship skills training for Nasarawa State Youth” a collaborative program between Nasarawa State Government through the Human Capital Development Office with OXFAM in Nigeria as funding partners and Poise Graduate Finishing Academy as implementing partners. The collaborative effort between OXFAM and the Human Capital Development Office is to improve the skills of youths who are unemployed in the State; equipping them for the workforce and to become business owners.

It started in the year 2020, with 80 participants featured which at the end we graduated 77 participants. In the year 2021, we had 118 participants featured which at the end only 96  participants graduated. It is a 3weeks intensive program for Employability and Entrepreneurs who are willing and committed to support and develop an entrepreneurship ecosystem in Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
