NSHCDA Advances Gender-Transformative Human Capital Development Policy Framework Advocacy in Nasarawa Eggon
The Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Agency (NSHCDA), has continued its Gender-Transformative Human Capital Development Policy Framework Zonal Advocacy to Nasarawa Eggon.
A pivotal highlight of the advocacy was a meeting held at the palace of the Aren Eggon, His Royal Highness Hon. Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku (Rtd) OFR, of Nasarawa Eggon. The gathering brought together key stakeholders, including the Emir of Azara His Royal Highness Dr. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim , District heads, the Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Chairman, Council officials, and women’s groups, to deliberate on advancing gender equity and human capital development in the area.
In her remarks, the Director General/Focal Person (DG/FP), Habiba Balarabe Suleiman underscored the need for women’s active participation in the state’s Human Capital Development (HCD) Agenda. She also presented two essential HCD documents *”Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Strategy Document:Accelerating Growth & Development & The Nasarawa State Gender Transformative Human Capital Development Policy Framework”* to the Aren Eggon and the Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Chairman, calling for their swift adoption and collaboration to promote gender equity across all development efforts.
Barr. Aliyu Iliya, Chairman of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government, commended the Agency’s advocacy, pledging unwavering support to the state’s HCD Agenda. He emphasized on the role of HCD in achieving sustainable economic growth, noting that a skilled and educated population is fundamental to progress.
His Royal Highness, Hon. Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku, warmly received the NSHCDA delegation, reaffirming his dedication to the cause. He urged the community to actively engage in this transformative movement, emphasizing that empowering women is integral to fostering lasting, positive change.
This advocacy visit, supported by Africa HCD+ highlights the Agency’s unwavering commitment to eliminating gender disparities and creating equal opportunities for all.
