International Day of the Girl Child

Today, we celebrate the strength, courage, and brilliance of every girl, especially those standing on the frontlines of crisis, leading change in their families, schools, and communities.
This year’s theme, “The Girl I Am, the Change I Lead,” reminds us that girls are not just surviving challenges; they are transforming them into opportunities for hope and progress.
Across the world, and here in Nasarawa State, girls are:
✨ Advocating for access to education and equal opportunities.
✨ Driving community awareness on health, environment, and safety.
✨ Using their voices to promote peace, inclusion, and innovation.
At the Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Agency (NSHCDA), we believe in empowering every girl to rise, lead, and thrive. Through our initiatives in education, health, skills training, and community engagement, we continue to create opportunities that nurture the potential of girls and support them in becoming the changemakers they are destined to be.
Today, we reaffirm our commitment to stand with girls in classrooms, in communities, and in every space where their voices must be heard. Because when girls lead, society grows stronger.
