The Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Agency (NSHCDA) today had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Yobe State Human Capital Development Office on a strategic peer-learning and collaboration visit.
The visit was aimed at strengthening inter-state cooperation, promoting shared learning, and deepening institutional capacity in line with Nigeria’s National Human Capital Development Agenda.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly received by the management and staff of NSHCDA. They were taken through a comprehensive presentation on the Agency’s mandate, structure, coordination framework, and achievements across all HCD thematic areas.
As part of their visit, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Council and Deputy Governor Nasarawa State, His Excellency Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, where they discussed opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and stronger alignment with national HCD priorities.
The team also visited the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, one of NSHCDA’s core thematic ministries, where they interacted with the leadership on youth-focused programmes, skills development initiatives, and strategies for improving youth participation in the labour market.
Following these engagements, the delegation toured the Agency’s departments to gain insights into operational processes, inter-sectoral coordination, data-driven planning, and the Agency’s results-focused approach to implementation.
The visit provided a strong platform for meaningful exchanges, shared experiences, and collaborative ideas towards strengthening Human Capital Development systems across both states.
