Nasarawa State Hosts North Central HCD Regional Conference

Nasarawa State, In its bid to contribute towards building the National Human Capital Development Agenda, hosted the North Central Human Capital Development Regional Conference on the 4^th – 5^th May, 2023.

The Regional Conference intended to sensitize and bring together all stakeholders across the north central region to deliberate on Human Capital Development issues and find solutions that will accelerate growth and development of a regional level.

The 2 Day Event had in attendance:

1. His Excellency, Engr.  Abdullahi A. Sule, The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State;

2. The Chairman, Nasarawa State Human Capital Development Council and Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel A. Akabe;

3. The Chairman, Niger State Human Capital Development Council and Deputy Governor, Ahmad Muhammad Ketso;

4. The Chairman, Benue State Human Capital Development Council and Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu;

5. Representative of the Chairman, Plateau State Human Capital Development Council and Deputy Governor;

6. The Core Working Group of the Human Capital Development

7. Representatives of World Bank, National Bureau of Statistics Among Others;

8. North Central States Focal Persons and their Stakeholders;

9. Royal Fathers; and

10. CSOs and NGOs.

Day 1:

The event was chaired by His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe Chairman Nasarawa State HCDC and Deputy Governor, And Co-Chaired By His Excellency Ahmad Muhammad Ketso, His Niger State counterpart.

The highlight of the day was a road show around Lafia Town to sensitize the masses on Human Capital Development.

Day 2:

The Event was chaired by His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, The Executive Governor Of Nasarawa State. Recommendations from the break-out session of day 1 were presented, to which resolutions and further commitment towards ensuring the mandates of the HCD Agenda and Objectives of the regional conference be achieved.
